With less than a month before left-wing President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador takes office in Mexico, the transition process is well under way, with current energy ministry officials working closely with the incoming administration to prepare for the Dec. 1 handover. However, some industry sources express concern that the incoming team, which promotes a statist line and has expressed suspicion of private energy investment, will struggle to manage the energy sector successfully and be able to reverse Mexico's steadily declining oil production.
