EIA: US Shale Output Growth to Continue in July

Production of oil and natural gas in the US is expected to continue rising in July, again led by the Permian Basin, while the number of drilled-but-uncompleted wells (DUCs) continued growing in May. The US Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) latest Drilling Productivity Report, which estimates oil production from the major shale regions based on the number of rigs at work and the productivity of those rigs, projects oil output from the top seven US shale regions will grow by 141,000 barrels per day from June to July to 7.339 million b/d.
