摘要

Russian oil companies want production restraints on them under an Opec-led supply cut deal eased now that oil markets have moved toward balance and prices are strong, a stance that could impact decisions at next month’s Opec meeting. Vagit Alekperov, president of Russia’s top independent oil producer Lukoil, said Thursday that recent oil prices of around $80 per barrel are too high and that participants in the Opec/non-Opec supply deal should “regulate” output based on oil market needs.
