US Schedules Historic US Gulf Lease Sale

The US Department of the Interior said Friday that it will offer 77.3 million acres in the US Gulf of Mexico in the next offshore lease sale on Mar. 21, the largest such sale in US history. The auction for acreage offshore Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida will include all available unleased areas in the US Gulf, Interior said.
