Energy Transfer Sells Compression Business

The Energy Transfer companies are selling their compressor business, through subsidiaries CCM Resource Management and CDM Environmental &Technical Services, to USA Compression Partners (USAC) in a transaction valued at $1.8 billion. The transaction is also expected to strengthen Energy Transfer's balance sheet by allowing the company to use the roughly $1.225 billion in cash proceeds it will receive to reduce leverage.
