Beleaguered natural producer Exco Resources said on Tuesday that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The Dallas-based firm has struggled for years with balance sheet woes, which were exacerbated by the collapse of commodity prices. A month ago it received a delisting notice from New York Stock Exchange after the average closing price of its shares fell below $1/share for 30 consecutive days.
