BP Returns to Solar as Part of Renewables Push

Six years after BP shuttered its solar business, the UK major announced on Friday a $200 million investment over three years to acquire a 43% stake in Lightsource, a European solar development company. Focused on the acquisition, development and long-term management of large-scale solar projects, the solar firm will be rebranded as Lightsource BP.
