Pertamina Inks $1.5 Billion Loan Agreement

State-run Pertamina has a signed a $1.5 billion framework loan agreement with South Korea’s Eximbank to help fund refinery projects in Indonesia aimed at boosting capacity. A Pertamina spokeswoman said the loan will support the Balikpapan refinery expansion project and raise its capacity to 360,000 b/d by 2021 from 260,000 b/d now (IOD Mar.19’19). However, she added that this could be delayed to 2023.
