Papua New Guinea Unhappy With Exxon LNG Talks

Papua New Guinea’s Petroleum Minister Kerenga Kua has expressed “disappointment” over the progress of negotiations with Exxon Mobil about expanding the PNG LNG project, saying the US major “refused to consider the state’s proposed terms." Exxon and its partners have been negotiating with the government about the terms for development of the P’nyang gas field that would feed a third train at the Exxon-operated PNG LNG liquefaction plant, which started production in 2014.
