Production of crude oil in the US returned to its record high of 12.1 million barrels per day last week, data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) show, boosted by rising volumes from the lower 48 states and the Gulf of Mexico. The agency said that US oil production rose by roughly 100,000 b/d in the week ended Mar. 15, restoring it to its all-time high for the third time in the past four weeks.
