Schlumberger Taps Le Peuch as CEO, Papa as Chairman

Oil-field services giant Schlumberger has officially named current COO Olivier Le Peuch its next CEO as the company looks to turn focus away from asset-heavy businesses and strengthen its offerings in modern technological solutions. Schlumberger also announced that US shale legend Mark Papa will take over as chairman of the board, replacing outgoing CEO and chairman Paal Kibsgaard, who will retire from the company next month.
