Oxy Puts More Cash on Anadarko’s Table

Occidental Petroleum is upping the cash portion of its offer for Anadarko Petroleum to win the approval of the Anadarko board after striking an agreement with Total to sell it Anadarko’s Africa portfolio. Houston-based Oxy kept the total price for its offer flat at $76 per share but increased the cash portion from 50% of the package to 78%, with the remainder being paid out in Oxy shares.
