US crude oil production held steady during the final week of February, according to estimates from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), capping off a month of growth that saw domestic oil output top 12 million barrels per day for the first time ever. The EIA’s data show that US crude oil production stayed at 12.1 million b/d during the week ended Mar. 1 after increasing by roughly 100,000 b/d in each of the prior two weeks to establish consecutive national production records (OD Feb.28’19).
