EIA: US Racing to Become Net Energy Exporter

In its latest Annual Energy Outlook released Thursday, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) rolled forward its timetable for the US to become a net energy exporter. The statistical arm of the US Department of Energy now sees this happening after 2020, in just two years’ time. The 2018 edition had forecast this switch in the world’s largest energy consumer after 2022 (OD Feb.7’18).
