Chevron Sees Tengiz Costs Soar

Chevron has raised the cost of the massive Tengiz expansion project in Kazakhstan by 25% to $46.5 billion due to problems with engineering estimates that resulted in higher construction costs and increases in the time needed to build a portion of the project.
