Oil took another round of heavy losses Wednesday, kicked off by yet another US inventory report showing lots of oil stockbuilds and rising oil production (OD May31’19). Combined with a gloomy economic backdrop and worries over future demand growth, the rise in US inventories has acted to either drive investors away from bets on higher prices or to encourage bearish investors to short the market and bet on lower prices.
