Oil sands producer Cenovus Energy said it is positioning itself to buy back some or all of the 16.9% stake in the company’s float currently held by ConocoPhillips. Kam Sandhar, Cenovus’ senior vice president of strategy and corporate development, told analysts last week that the company continues to have “regular dialogue” with Conoco about the stake.
