With the oil sector facing growing scrutiny about its strategy to remain relevant in a low-carbon future, the majors are looking increasingly at electric mobility services that fit well with their existing fuel retailing activities. BP is among those sharpening their focus in this area, making new investments that build on bets already made by its Venture Capital unit on promising new electric vehicle (EV) charging technologies.
