Permian Gas Pipe Gets Go-Ahead

Developers of a massive new natural gas pipeline proposed to drain the Permian Basin are moving ahead with the project after getting enough support from upstream producers. A group of investors comprising MPLX, WhiteWater Midstream, Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners and West Texas Gas announced a final investment decision for the Whistler Pipeline after a successful open season. Whistler will carry up to 2 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas 475 miles from the Permian gas hub at Waha to the South Texas hub at Agua Dulce.
