The head of China’s dominant refiner, Sinopec, says unconventionals will be targeted as an area of significant growth over the next 5-10 years. Chairman Fu Chengyu, the former head of China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC), said during a news conference Monday that the company will likely see first production of unconventional gas by next year.
