PetroChina Submits Ineos Offer

PetroChina said on Monday that it has submitted an irrevocable $1.015 billion offer to Ineos for a 50% share of the privately owned UK firm's European refining business as part of the formation of new refinery and trading ventures. The deal first outlined in a framework agreement signed earlier in January includes the Grangemouth refinery in Scotland and Lavera plant in France.
