Belarus-Venezuela joint venture Petrolera BeloVenesolana plans almost to double oil output this year to 27,000 b/d from 15,000 b/d in 2010, an official at state Belarusneft was quoted as saying Wednesday. The increase will come from two fields added to the joint venture’s portfolio last December. It already had five oil fields - Guara Este, Lago Medio, Oritupano Norte, Lagunillas-2 and Ostra - and was reportedly given a license for six gas fields last year (OD Dec.28’09,p5).
