Apache, Total Hit Oil Again Off Suriname

US independent Apache and French major Total have made another significant discovery offshore Suriname at its Sapakara West-1 well on Block 58. Using the Noble Sam Croft drillship, the Sapakara West-1 well was drilled to a depth of 6,300 meters (20,700 feet) and tested multiple stacked targets in the upper Cretaceous-aged Campanian and Santonian intervals.
