Shell Adds New Credit Facility to Ride Out Storm

Royal Dutch Shell has secured an additional $12 billion revolving credit facility that will give it greater financial flexibility to ride out the current storm in the oil market and the global economy. The Anglo-Dutch major said the new facility — which follows a $10 billion credit facility secured in December — will boost its available liquidity from $30 billion to more than $40 billion, excluding commercial paper programs.
