Opec and its non-Opec allies were still planning to go ahead with this week’s ministerial meetings in Vienna as of Monday, however the physical meetings on Thursday and Friday could still be called off because of the coronavirus crisis. A final decision will be made based on consultations between the government of Austria, the host country to the Opec secretariat, and United Nations officials based in New York and in Geneva, where the World Health Organization is headquartered.
