US Oil Output Holds Steady: EIA

Oil production in the US held steady last week, according to estimates from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), as an uptick in volumes from the lower 48 states offset a small downturn in Alaska. The agency's Weekly Petroleum Status Report, published Wednesday, showed that US oil production stayed at roughly 11.1 million b/d in the week ended Jul. 24. The EIA rounds its weekly estimates of overall US oil output as well as that from the lower 48 states to the nearest 100,000 b/d.
