CNOOC,Petronas Cleared for Mexico Wells

Mexico regulators renewed their approval for China National Offshore Oil Corp.(CNOOC)to drill what would be its first deepwater well offshore Mexico.Mexican upstream regulator CNH granted the permission on the heels of last week's authorization for Malaysian state oil company Petronas to drill a shallow-water well in the Salina del Istmo Basin off the country's southern shores.
