Biden Eyes EPA to Pursue Climate Agenda

US President-elect Joe Biden is expected to lean on regulatory actions to drive down greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) — including emissions from the oil and natural gas sector. But regulating climate pollution is a tricky strategy rife with legal obstacles. Biden laid out a bold climate vision during the presidential race, including a goal for net-zero emissions economy-wide by 2050. With Congress likely to remain divided over the next two years, however, it will be difficult for Biden to carve his goals into law.
