India’s refined fuel product consumption recovered faster than expected in June, reaching 92% of its level from a year earlier after being down nearly 50% in April, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi eased most of the curbs on the country’s nationwide lockdown from Jun. 1. The lifting of restrictions helped drive demand for diesel and gasoline in June, although it is still low on the year, according to the latest data published by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell, the data analysis wing of Indian’s oil ministry.
