Partner Bails on Brazil Offshore Project

Brazilian independent Enauta said Tuesday that its 50% partner in the offshore Atlanta heavy oil development in the Santos Basin has pulled out of the project, casting its future into doubt. Enauta, alongside partner Barra Energia, had been sounding out contractors as recently as earlier this year for a new floating production, storage and offloading unit for the Atlanta project, part of a proposed permanent production system that would deliver between 50,000 to 70,000 barrels per day of oil as soon as 2023 (EIF Jul.29’20).
