The crude market has lost its pulse, and participants their upbeat mood, after prices failed to pull out of their recent trading range last week. The lack of price momentum has doused the last bout of volatility and extinguished traders’ appetites for risky oil derivatives, plunging the Brent and Nymex West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures markets into a state of torpor.
