Speed of Oil’s Recovery to Impact Gas Prices

Just last month, US gas prices were set to climb past $3 per million Btu by winter as the market undergoes a significant tightening with rapidly falling domestic output — or so the narrative went. But that outlook has gotten much more complicated as major props behind it could be buckling. The biggest wild card: just how quickly, and how much, oil production shut in due to collapsing prices comes back on stream and with it the return of associated gas that some analysts expected to stay off the market indefinitely.
