Landmark climate talks scheduled for Glasgow in November have been postponed to 2021, with the exact timing to be ironed out “in due course” between the UN and partner hosts Italy and the UK. “The world is currently facing an unprecedented global challenge and countries are rightly focusing their efforts on saving lives and fighting Covid-19. That is why we have decided to reschedule COP26,” said Alok Sharma, the UK’s business secretary and president-designate of COP26.
