Ruling Dividing Oklahoma Turf Unnerves Gas Industry

A landmark US Supreme Court ruling last month finding that roughly half of Oklahoma is tribal land has unsettled gas industry officials who fear new regulatory, taxation and legal hurdles could be imminent. But the high court’s decision in McGirt v. Oklahoma appears to raise more questions for oil and gas operations and infrastructure in the eastern portion of the state than it answers.
