Bankrupt Alta Mesa Agrees to Sell For $310M

A company led by former Sandridge Energy CEO Tom Ward has offered to buy all the upstream and midstream assets of bankrupt Alta Mesa Resources for about $310 million. The bids by a partnership between Ward's Mach Resources and private equity firm Bayou City Energy (BCE) include a roughly $225 million offer for all of Alta Mesa's wells and leases, and about $85 million for the assets of Kingfisher Midstream.
