NOVATEK, MMK sign 10-year gas supply contract

NOVATEK-Chelyabinsk and OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) have signed a long-term natural gas supply contract, the gas company said in a press release. The contract is set to last until December 31, 2022. Cumulative gas supplies during that 10.5-year period will surpass 50 billion cubic meters (bcm). "According to the signed contract, NOVATEK-Chelyabinsk will supply 2.3 bcm of gas to MMK in the second half of 2012. The planned volume for 2013 is 4.5 bcm," the press release said.
