Pirelli names GM, co-CEO

MILAN-Pirelli & C. SpAhas launched a reorganization plan to broaden its management team in line with the company's succession plan for 2023. At the suggestion of Marco Tronch-etti Provera, executive vice chairman and CEO, the board on July 23 approved the appointment of Angelos Papadimitriou as the general manager and co-CEO. Papadimitriou will step into his new role on Aug. 1, and will report directly to Tronchetti Provera. According to Pirelli, the reorganization aims to expand the management team for the future succession path outlined by the procedure adopted by the tire maker earlier this year.
