Aims: Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) was associated with microRNA (miRNA) dysregulation. Therefore, we verified the hypothesis that miRNAs modulated IDD by affecting the insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 5 (IGFBP5)/extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signaling pathway.
