Single-particle levels in cluster potentials

We calculate single-particle levels in potentials with Z(2) (dumbbell), D-3h (triangle) and T-d (tetrahedral) symmetry, appropriate to the alpha-cluster structure of Be-8, C-12 and O-16 respectively. We suggest that these can be used to study, within the framework of a cluster shell model (CSM), k alpha + x nucleon structures, with k = 2, 3, 4 and x = 1, 2,..., in particular the single particle (x = 1) structures Be-9, B-9; C-13, N-13; O-17, F-17.
