Global Oil, Natural Gas Producers Commit to More Transparency in Reporting Methane Emissions

A group of 62 oil and natural gas operators, which together rep- resent 30% of the world’s produc- tion, agreed Monday to report their methane emissions with a “higher level” of transparency. The Oil and Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP) is a Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) initiative led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the European Commis- sion (EC), and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).
