Gazprom Neft has inked long-term risk operator agreements with parent Gazprom to develop the oil rims, or the oily part of a hydrocarbon de- posit, at the latter's fields. This new type of cooperation be- tween Gazprom Neft and Gazprom is a win-win situation, the companies claim, since it will allow the former to tap into new reserves and increase oil output, while the gas corporation will be able to focus on the fields' methane layers.
