Gazprom Ramps Up Ukrainian Transit Flows

Russia's Gazprom increased gas transit flows via Ukraine to the maximum contracted daily volumes at the beginning of October,as the company sees signs of rebalancing on the European market,which should support offtakes under its long-term contracts.Gazprom's EU export flow data show that the company transited around 176 MMcm/d via Ukraine on Oct.1-2,surpassing the 170 MMcm/d level for the first time this year.In annual terms,this almost equals the 65 Bcm booked by the Russian exporter for this year.On Oct.3-4,transit flows decreased to 169.3 MMcm and 167.9,respectively.
