Turk Stream Gas Forced Out of Greece by LNG

Fresh LNG cargoes, including one from Novatek’s Yamal LNG, have forced Russia’s Gazprom to reduce Turk Stream gas flows to Greece over the past week. The Turk Stream line, launched in the beginning of the year, is de-signed to supply 15.75 Bcm/yr to Turkey and 15.75 Bcm/yr to south-eastern Europe. From Turkey, gas flows to Bulgaria, from where it cur-rently reaches Greece and North Macedonia. Gazprom hopes to sup-ply Serbia, Hungary and Austria’s Baumgarten gas hub once the pipe-line’s onshore link is completed.
