Tragedy in Vila do Meio-Dia: a contribution to the aesthetic criticism of Gota D'Agua {Preta}

摘要

This article resumes the receipt of Gota D'Agua {Preta}, staging of the play written by Paulo Pontes and Chico Buarque, idealised and directed by Je Oliveira in 2019. The aesthetic value of the play is discussed in the light of the structure of the theatrical text and the relations that the staging has established between MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and sonorities of the African Diaspora.
