Boots lauds 20% profits hike

Although many retailers are experiencing steep sales falls on the UK high street, Alliance Boots says that its profits soared 20% last year with revenue rising almost 5% to ￡15.3bn. Both its health and beauty and pharmaceutical divisions performed strongly, the company claims.
