GDC Tech 2018 highlights on varied usages, applications of aluminium

The annual conference, GDC Tech 2018, was held at Hotel Novotel in Pune on the 27th and 28th of September 2018. The theme of the conference was "Marching Towards New Horizons", and the technical papers presented were in-line with this theme. The response was excellent, with over 165 participants attending this conference. In his welcome address Chairman Dr. Aniruddha Karve, briefed all about activities of GDCTECH and objective of this conference. The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Mr. SJR Kutty, Head, Vehicle Attribute & Technical Services ERC, from Tata Motors Ltd., who highlighted the aluminium industry scenario in light of the upcoming electrical vehicles and its impact on foundries and concluding his talk by stressing upon the importance of adapting to newer technologies.
