Development of Canada's emerging chro-mite and nickel-rich Ring of Fire seems set to accelerate in 2020 as the US and Canada work to formulate a viable plan to explore and exploit northern Ontario's nascent mineral treasure chest. Development of what has been labelled by Canada's federal government "a generational opportunity" has been slow over the past decade, frustrated by the size of the region and lack of infrastructure in the muskeg wastelands surrounding James Bay.
