Steel plate prices in the United States have opened December atlower levels after rising steadily throughout most of last month.American Metal Market’s price assessment for cut-to-length plateis at $32.35 per hundredweight ($647 per ton) fob mill, down 1.2%from $32.75 per cwt previously.Lead times are in a wide range of three and seven weeks, withsome mills extended well in 2018 but others still looking to close out2017, according to market participants and mill lead time sheets.
