ArcelorMittal restarted operations at blast furnace (BF) No2 at itssteelmaking plant in Bremen, Germany, on Saturday December 2after two months of modernization, Metal Bulletin has learnt.Two-thirds of the mill’s daily production - around 6,500 tonnes ofpig iron - is produced at BF No2.Repairs to the dedusting system to increase the extraction capacitymean that casting has been optimized. A new secondary coolingsystem has also been installed.
