In Japan, the spot cif MJP aluminium premium was unchanged at$90-105 per tonne on Tuesday amid quiet market conditions withfocus on quarterly deals.The benchmark first-quarter MJP aluminium premium is close tosettling, following deals for volumes of over 29,000 tonnes ofaluminium for January-March shipment at a premium of $103 pertonne reported to Metal Bulletin in December.These first-quarter deals include those done between one majorconsumer and three producers, and some trader-consumer deals.The $103-per-tonne premium represents a rise of 9% from thefourth-quarter premium which had settled at $94-95 per tonne.
